A B O U T

A Melbourne-based interior design studio
operating at the intersection of beauty and wellbeing.

The work aims to redefine how our environments are approached by looking at them through the lens of wellbeing. It asks how design can facilitate moments for pause in our everyday. Moments of stillness. Space to breathe. A chance to reset. Opportunities for connection, with others and with self.
Tonal, tactile, thoughtful. Spaces are considered holistically, for presence and a slower pace.

I started Lauri Uldrikis Studio after more than a decade working on high-end residential projects, long enough to understand that the homes people remember aren't just the most beautiful ones.
They're the ones that feel right to live in.

My long-held passion is for the way our physical environment affects our health and wellbeing. My practice draws on environmental psychology, biophilic design and Japanese design philosophy to approach space in a way that values restraint, intention, and a deep awareness of the people inhabiting it. It’s a continuous and evolving exploration. It is the studio's raison d'être.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) with First Class Honours from RMIT University, where I now also teach as a Sessional Lecturer.

I’m glad you’re here.
